The 2025 Global Forensic Science Symposium will take place the first week of June 2025. This unique event, hosted by the Global Forensic and Justice Center at FIU, brings together law enforcement agencies, industry, and academia to share knowledge and training for laboratory professionals.

This year’s theme is “Collaboration in Forensic Science.” Whether across campus or the globe, working together to strengthen forensic science is paramount in moving the disciplines forward. The deadline to submit an abstract for posters and section presentations has been extended until March 7, 2025.

Thanks to our generous event sponsors, registration is free and will open April 2025.

Submissions

Abstracts submissions are now open through March 7, 2025. We welcome speakers from around the world to submit posters and section presentations. These virtual sessions will eliminate the financial barrier to sharing your work. All speakers will need to have access to a Zoom account to present. Regardless of where you live, we encourage researchers and practitioners to submit their abstracts. GFJC will not provide travel stipends, and will work with speakers to prepare pre-recorded presentations.

This year’s theme, “Collaboration in Forensic Science,” highlights how researchers and scientists address universal issues in their research and working laboratories. We encourage you to consider the theme, but it is not required for consideration. Please visit go.fiu.edu/symposiumabstract to submit your abstract.
