From a cellphone to a car, digital forensic evidence is quickly becoming a key component in investigations. Through a partnership with Cybersecurity@FIU, a program comprising the Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy at Florida International University’s (FIU) Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs and the FIU College of Engineering, GFJC is working to establish training and standards in forensic investigations.
We have partnered with the FIU College of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, to provide a Digital Forensics curriculum for the working professionals. The four courses provide an introduction to digital data recovery, forensic analysis, investigative procedures, and the guiding laws, ethical standards and policy of the trade. After successfully completing all four courses, students are awarded a certificate of completion.
